Terms
The short version: Parrot is for linking your own WhatsApp to your own agent, for personal use. Last updated 8 November 2026.
The service
Parrot is run by Vishisht Choudhary (vishisht.choudhary@tum.de). It connects to WhatsApp as a linked device, the same way WhatsApp Web does, and gives the AI agent you choose access to your chats through an API key you control. Parrot is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta and does not use the official WhatsApp Business API. It is new and offered as is; we fix problems as fast as we can but cannot promise it never goes down.
Your part
- Only link a WhatsApp number that is yours.
- Keep it personal: no bulk messages, spam or marketing. WhatsApp can restrict numbers that automate heavily, and that risk is yours.
- To protect your number, Parrot paces sending like a person: a short "typing…" pause before each message, at most 15 messages an hour and 60 a day, at most 5 new contacts (people who never wrote to you) a day, and the same text to at most 3 chats an hour. These limits lower the risk; they cannot remove it.
- Your agent acts on your behalf. You decide what it may do (its key's permissions) and you are responsible for what it sends.
- Keep your API keys private; revoke any that leak in your dashboard.
Price and cancelling
Every account is free for 7 days, no card needed. After that Parrot costs €2 a month or €20 a year, VAT included, paid through Stripe. You can cancel any time in your dashboard; the plan runs until the end of the period you paid for, then your WhatsApp machine and its data are deleted. Without a plan after the free week, your agent can no longer use WhatsApp through Parrot.
Liability
We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence and as the law requires. Otherwise, for slight negligence, only for breaches of essential obligations and only up to the damage typical and foreseeable for this kind of service. German law applies.
